 Horizontal Gangsaws
The horizontal circular saw HK is used for cutting cants horizontally. The machine is fitted with two vertical saw arbors. The distance between the saw arbors is constant. On the basis of the double arbor principle, the entire cutting width is evenly distributed between two saw blades. |

The saw blade on the left-hand side is climb cutting, and the blade on the right is power cutting. Using only one saw blade, the saw can be mounted inside the machine, when several saw blades are used, the heads must be prepared outside the machine. The heads are mounted on the saw arbors with a quick locking device.
The saw heads can be adjusted vertically with mechanical, electrical or servo hydraulic positioning systems. If no horizontal cut is required, the saw heads can be moved down out of the cutting area. The cants are fed with an electrically driven and hydraulically actuated feeding and aligning system. On the out-feed side, lumber is transported out of the machine by a hydraulically actuated, electrically driven symmetrical outfeed unit. Feed speeds of up to 150 m/min. |
